Confidentiality
All that takes place within the hypnotherapy sessions is treated with respect, discretion and strict
confidentiality. I will keep confidential notes to assist with future treatment which are kept in secure
files at all times. Unless you choose to tell them, your GP, your family, spouse, employer or place
of study will not know and neither will anything go on your medical record without your consent.
There are a few exceptions for legal or safety reasons (for example if you are about to cause harm to
yourself, others or children). If I felt legally obligated to break confidentiality I would inform you and
explain why. In some cases, in order to give you the best possible treatment and to further enhance
the effectiveness of hypnotherapy I would ask that treatment be carried out with the knowledge of
your General Practitioner or other health care professional. However this can only happen with your
written agreement.
Payment
Payment is by cash or cheque only and payment is due at the start of the session. You can either pay
per session or pay for a block of sessions upfront. Please ask if you need a receipt / invoice. Please
make any cheques payable to “Christy Roxburgh”.
Cancellations
Once a session is booked, that time is yours. I reserve the right to charge in full for any cancellations
with less than 24 hours notice, as it is highly unlikely the session can be reallocated. I will endeavour
to give as much notice as possible should we need to cancel or alter the timing of our session.
Lateness
If you arrive late for your session the session will still finish at the time it was due to finish and be
charged at the full fee. If you arrive early for a session please wait until your allocated time before
ringing the door.
Holidays
If you are undertaking a longer course of treatment, please notify of any holiday breaks and I will
do likewise. You will of course not be expected to pay for sessions when you are on holiday (some
therapists do charge).
Home visits
Home visits are available on request however you will be asked to pay a little more, depending on
your location to include travel time.
Safety
All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure your safety physically and psychologically. I will refuse to
see anyone under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. You as the patient will undertake
not to deliberately harm the therapist, the therapist’s family and property for the duration of
treatment and thereafter.
Parking
Free parking is available outside the house either on the drive or in the close. If any other cars are
parked please just make sure they can get out without disturbing our session.
Refunds
If you have paid upfront for a course of treatment that you do not complete, “unused” sessions will
be refunded upon request. If you have attended a session or cancelled a session at short notice then
I cannot refund for the session as I cannot refund my time.
Complaints & Feedback
Please let me know if things are not going how you would like so that I have a chance to put things
right. If you would like to make a complaint you can do this in writing to me or via the Hypnotherapy
Society which is the professional organisations I belong to and they have a formal complaints
procedure. All feedback is welcome.
