In many sports, success requires a significant and carefully controlled burst of energy, which might
be for just a few seconds or many minutes at a time. This may also include combinations of strength
and control – for example, a golf drive requires high precision as well as strength, a runner requires a
sustained effort of strength and focus and a boxer requires precision, strength and focus in relatively
short bursts.
Hypnosis provides a fantastic way of achieving relaxation however it can also be used to help boost
energy levels and focus on what specific actions require what level of energy in order to achieve
optimal performance. Using visualisation and imagery in hypnosis, it is possible to learn techniques
which can then be used on the court, pitch, range or ring to help focus on using optimal levels of
energy and therefore increase chances of best performance.
